Brief Description:
Left lower and auxilliary longeron drilling
This was hard work and my back was aching for awhile after this!
The lower left longeron and left auxilliary longeron were drilled in place through the F-820-L-1 skin.
A drill cup is a must to keep the drill bit straight. Lots of pressure and lube.
Surprisingly, I went through a number or #30 bits. I got a recent supply of small ones from ACS for this purpose.
You need to ensure that the rivet witness line on the auxilliary can be seen through the skin holes. A little adjustment was need to make this happen.
F-843-L-1 drilled in place
F-844-L-1 being riveted. You can see the rivet line through the holes.
Left side complete.
